Episode 1 – Beer and Beans Triathlon

Some plungers, such as Laura Willoughby and Steven Kopelman of Harness Creek in Annapolis, Maryland, love to support Special Olympics Maryland, but they just can't take the cold. So they created the 1st annual Beer and Beans Triathlon to raise money for Special Olympics Maryland athletes in the heat of the August sun. What turned out to be a seemingly innocent day of fun for charity, turned into a protest between a group of “environmentalists” and those seeking to express their personal freedom through flatulence. Check out the behind scene protest and cat fight for a shocking look at the extent some people will go to in order to support the Special Olympics Maryland athletes.

Although some of the characters in this episode are strictly for your entertainment, the triathlon was a real event that raised $4,167 for Special Olympics MD. Laura Willoughby and Steven Kopelman are already planning next year’s event. Weekly episodes will be released December 30, 2009 through Plunge Day on January 30, 2010.

In this episode: Dave Coyne, Jan Johns, Michael N. Dunlop, Big Money Clow, Liz Thibodeau, Kevin Thibodeau, Tom Schniedwind, Brendan Schniedwind, Connor Schniedwind, Cammie Schniedwind, Jimmy Myrick, Sonia Taylor, Shane Gallagher, Heather Renihan, and Craig Propert.
