Form a Team

Nothing brings a team together more than conquering a challenge as a group. The MSP Polar Bear Plunge offers a unique opportunity for your friends, family and colleagues to participate in an exciting, team-building activity that will generate synergy boost morale and provide positive PR for your group!

  • Team captain (and guest), co-captain (and guest), and their Top Team Fundraiser (and guest) are invited to a special, pre-event Team Party!
  • Each team member receives a Plunge sweatshirt and complimentary lunch
  • Plunge awards will be given out for teams at three fundraising levels:
    • Level 1: Frigid: $2,500
    • Level 2: Frozen: $5,000
    • Level 3: Frostbite: $10,000
    • A special award will be given the team raising the most money in each division.
  • A $100 gift certificate for Plunge tailgate goodies
  • A $75 gift certificate for your essential Plunge gear
  • And (this is a biggie)…The opportunity to reserve a PARKING SPOT and TEAM “GATHERING SPACE” WITHIN SANDY POINT!*

*Team Parking Details: All teams that raise $5,000 by January 12, 2009 are invited to reserve a parking spot and a “Team Gathering Spot” within Sandy Point State Park. The lot will be secluded and reserved only for Teams who have met this fundraising goal. Space size is limited to 1 car parking space and 1 additional space for teams to “meet and mingle”. This is intended for teams with under 25 members. Teams with 25+ members are encouraged to use the Bus Reservation system (like last year) and gather in the space around their bus. Only 1 parking permit per team will be given out so the person with the grill, etc. should be the person to park. All other team members will need to park in the satellite lots and use the shuttle bus system.  

*RESERVE A BUS FOR YOUR TEAM – the team that travels together, plunges together! Shuttle Bus Parking Space reservations now being accepted for teams with 25+ members! Email plunge@somd.org : Your Team Name, Captain’s name and contact information, and the # of members of your team.

Terms & Conditions

Teams

  • Must have a minimum of 10 members to be eligible for team prizes
  • No team registration on day of event
  • Each team member must raise minimum of $50

Team Divisions

  • Division 1: 10-19 members
  • Division 2: 20-29 members
  • Division 3: 30-39 members
  • Division 4: 40-99 members
  • Division 5: 100+ members
  • Sponsor Division

All participants receive Plunge sweatshirt, complimentary lunch, plunge photo, and the great feeling of freezing your "fur" off for a truly worthy cause.
