Directions & Parking Information

Please note that Sandy Point State Park will open Saturday morning between 7:30 - 8 AM.  There is NO overnight parking available at Sandy Point Friday evening – that includes anyone reserving a Bus Parking Spot.

Parking for the 13th Annual MSP Polar Bear Plunge will be available at the following locations:

Naval Academy Stadium – Annapolis, MD

• Important Information - If you plan to park at the Naval Academy Stadium, please take note of the following:
  • Shuttle service to and from Sandy Point State Park will begin promptly at 7:30 AM and continue until 5 PM.  Shuttle buses will run a continuous loop to and from the park in order to prevent delays.
  • In order to guarantee your arrival at Sandy Point State Park in time for the 1 pm or 3pm Plunge, you must board the shuttle buses NO Later than 30 minutes before the desired plunge.
  • When entering and exiting Sandy Point State Park after the Plunge, there will be a “Shuttle Bus Only” lane open, so in order to expedite your departure, we encourage you to utilize the shuttle bus system
  • The Naval Academy Stadium and Anne Arundel Community College are approximately 5 miles from Sandy Point State Park and over 70 shuttle buses will provide a quick, hassle-free ride to and from the event

• Because we want to encourage mass carpooling, we are accepting reservations for bus parking ONLY.  To reserve your bus space and request your pass, email us at plunge@somd.org or call 410-242-1515.
• NOTE:  Bus passes used by SUV’s, RV’s or anything smaller than a school bus or charter bus will not be honored on Plunge Day
