Incentives
Top “Cool School” Team per Division
Recognition will be given to the team that raises the most money in each division.
Divisions are as follows:
- Division 1: Elementary School
- Division 2: Middle School
- Division 3: High School
- Division 4: Private School
Individual Team Member fund-raising incentives:
- Level 1: (Minimum of $50): Official Polar Bear Plunge Sweatshirt and complimentary lunch on Frigid Friday
- Level 2: (Minimum of $250): PBP Commemorative Tervis Style Tumbler + Level 1
- Level 3: (Minimum of $500): PBP Fleece + Level 1 & 2 Incentive
- Level 4: (Minimum of $1000): Item/Prize TBD + Level 1, 2 & 3 Incentive
Overall Top “Cool School” Fundraising Team
The coveted “Cool School” trophy will be awarded to the school that raises the most money overall. The “Cool School Trophy” is a traveling trophy that is passed between winning schools after each school year. Your school will have the opportunity to have their team name listed on the trophy, and keep it for the whole school year until next year’s Plunge!
Overall “Cool School” Plunger
This prize will be awarded to the student who demonstrates an above and beyond effort in all aspects of fundraising and team support.
“Cool School” Teams of 25 members or more
Teams of 25 members or more will receive a reserved bus spot to gather the day of the Saturday plunge. All teams plunging during Frigid Friday will receive a bus spot; No parking pass necessary. Parking is also available at Sandy Point for spectators and parents.
Teams of 40 or more raising over $3,000 by January 13th, 2012 are eligible to have their bus transportation cost reimbursed by SOMD up to $500. (see Bus Request Form for official rules and regulations)
“Cool School” Teams raising $1,500 by Dec. 19th, 2011
Teams raising $1,500 by December 19th, 2011 will receive a Cool School item TBD for all members of the team.
“Cool School” Teams raising $5,000 by Jan. 16th, 2012
Teams raising $5,000 by January 16th, 2012 will receive custom t-shirts, imprinted with team name and school colors.
